What To Do

Mammals can be unpredictable and dangerous so don’t handle them yourself.

If you find a mammal that is not walking or able to move away you can contain it by placing a container or sturdy box over the animal. Put a weight on top (such as a brick) to prevent escaping.

Stay with the animal if possible and call the Wildlife Helpline (10am-4pm, 7 days a week: 604-526-7275).
