Let’s plan your wild gift!

We are blessed to live in this environmentally rich part of the world. Since 1979, Wildlife Rescue Association of British Columbia has been dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals, while also promoting public awareness about living compatibly with our wild neighbours.

We have become an international leader as the busiest wildlife centre in Western Canada. In 2024, more than 49,000 inquiries from the public came into Wildlife Rescue’s Support Centre seeking assistance for wildlife at risk. Intentional gift planning has ensured the professional care of over 140,000 animals.

Does the health and well-being of local wildlife align with your core values? If so, we are here to support your gift planning for the wildlife in your community.

Here are some benefits of including Wildlife Rescue in your gift planning:

  • Your gift supports a charitable cause that is meaningful and dear to your heart.
  • Your generosity will enable us to maintain the highest standard of care for many years to come.
  • You are supporting the busiest wildlife centre in Western Canada!
  • Your gift helps expand care to a broader range of animals.
  • Our team is happy to support your customized planning, including gifts in memory of loved ones.
  • Join us for a tour of the wildlife facility!

Without a Will, your property and finances get distributed according to federal and provincial laws, which may not align with your wishes and values. By including Wildlife Rescue in your gift planning, you continue to help save sick, injured, and orphaned animals today and forever. Your legacy gift enables our team to respond to the increasing demand for wildlife impacted by humans encroaching on native habitats. Everyone can leave a charitable gift from their estate, regardless of its size. Every gift helps to give vulnerable wildlife a second chance to live their natural lives.

We recommend consulting with your financial advisor and working with a lawyer or notary to guide you through the gift planning process, ensuring you make informed decisions for yourself and your family. These professionals can also discuss the tax benefits of these gifts, which can maximize savings by reducing and sometimes eliminating taxes owed by your estate.
