We have heartbreaking news to share with you. For the second consecutive year, Wildlife Rescue has been denied federal funding from the Canada Summer Jobs grant. Receiving this grant for 28 years allowed us to bring summer students onto our team to learn professional skills in caring for wild animals while facilitating the rehabilitation of 5,000 animals annually. 

This year, we reached out for your help, and you responded with an overwhelming show of support by sending letters to our local government, articulating how vital wildlife is to you. However, your request to continue funding for Wildlife Rescue was denied.  

Today, we are desperately appealing for your support so that, together, we can save the wildlife that has begun to arrive. We urgently need your help to hire the students who have applied for jobs to work diligently and save lives all summer long. To assist, the Spring Match Sponsors are stepping up during this challenging time, enabling us to extend the Match campaign by two weeks and raising care aid to $120,000. Please, your generosity today makes the difference between life and death for so many little ones.
